Shamika Cook

Shamika Cook serves as the Director of Operation for SoulSisters: Sisters Supporting Sisters, Inc.

Shamika Cook is a wife and the mother of 4 beautiful children, who motivate her daily. Shamika is a former administrative assistant, teacher, mentor, youth advocate, youth director, and youth counselor who is driven by her love for God and seeing individuals healed, delivered, and set free from wounds of the past. At a very young age, Shamika started developing and organizing programs within her church and community that provided a unified sense of purpose and direction in terms of focus and curriculum. Shamika received a full scholarship to Clark Atlanta University where she studied education, and eventually obtained her degree in both Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology at Georgia State University. Shamika spent a lot of time volunteering at Oglethorpe Elementary School in Atlanta, Georgia, where she began to develop relationships with children who were hurting, broken, and hopeless. Shamika could relate, because she too had once been a hurt, broken, and hopeless child, who overcame many challenges by the grace of God. Eventually, Shamika went on to become a Youth Counselor at an Emergency Youth Shelter in North Georgia, where she was able to establish rapport, supportive counseling, feedback, and training, which cultivated career development, life skills, and goal setting in troubled youth. After 25 years of teaching and impacting the lives of children, Shamika is now the Founder and CEO of an educational organization called The Fun Learning Zone, LLC. She has combined her love and passion for child development and education, in order to design and create affordable learning tools and programs that are guaranteed to academically advance preschool aged children. After years of pouring into young children, Shamika has developed a desire to see women who are hurting, broken, and hopeless become healed, whole, and hopeful. As a woman, she has overcome abandonment issues, rejection, sexual abuse, physical abuse, and emotional abuse. Shamika is inspired to share her story with women all over the world, with hopes that they too will be healed, delivered, and set free from wounds of the past. Shamika has whole heartedly embraced SoulSisters mission to bring self-love, soul healing, and confidence to young girls, women, and families all over the world.
